Save a life by giving only $0.80 a day!

About MooGood

We are saving cows, one cow at a time, sponsor now to join the journey!

Why Sponsor a cow

MooGood makes it simple for everyday people to create real change – one cow at a time. Our sponsorship program is the bridge between compassionate individuals and farmers seeking a new path. Here’s how it works: you start by choosing a cow to sponsor from one of our partner farms. Each cow has a profile with their name, story, and personality, so you can find one you really connect with.

Once you sign up, your sponsorship (as affordable as about $0.80 a day – less than a cup of coffee) goes directly toward that cow’s care and the farmer’s livelihood. In very real terms, your contribution saves that cow’s life – because the farmer now has the funding to keep the animal instead of selling them for slaughter. The process is transparent and personal.

You’ll get updates about the exact cow you’re helping, and you’ll see how your dollars are transforming a farmer’s way of life. MooGood handles all the logistics: matching sponsors to cows, distributing funds to farms, and keeping everyone connected. One sponsor, one cow, one big difference – that’s the power of MooGood in action.

  • Pick your cow of choice
  • Save a cow’s life
  • See the real impact you have made
  • Help farmers support their animals better

What do I get?

Beyond the warm feeling of saving a cow, we provide an interactive online portal for all our members. This portal is your window into the farm and the cow you’re supporting – a one-stop hub for updates and connection.

Once you log in, you can see live updates from the field: think photos of your cow grazing or video clips of her mooing hello. You can read farm reports that detail how your cow and her herd are doing, what new sustainable practices the farmer might be implementing, and how your contributions are helping on the ground.

  • Personalised cow updates
  • Farm reports
  • Live tracking of cows in the field
  • Sponsorship certificate

Offlining farms

When we say we aim to “offline” farms, we mean completely transforming farms away from the meat industry. To “offline” a farm is to disconnect it from the conventional beef supply chain entirely – no more cows sent to feedlots or slaughterhouses, ever. This process doesn’t happen overnight; it’s a step-by-step journey of change, and it lies at the core of MooGood’s long-term vision. We start with one cow and one farmer. By rescuing that first cow through sponsorship, we plant the seed of change on the farm.

The farmer sees that compassion can be practical – they earned income by letting the cow live. Then we build on that. As more people sponsor additional cows, the farmer gradually reduces their dependence on traditional cattle sales. Cow by cow, the farm’s business model shifts. Eventually, a tipping point is reached: the farmer no longer breeds or buys new cattle for slaughter, and every remaining cow on the property is either sponsored or will live out her life naturally. At that moment, the farm is effectively “offlined” from the slaughter grid – it has transitioned to a new model where animals are friends, not products.

Supporting climate change

Every cow saved through MooGood is a win for the planet. Traditional cattle farming is resource-intensive and a major driver of greenhouse gas emissions, deforestation, and water use. By transitioning farms away from beef production, we dramatically shrink their environmental footprint. For example, cows produce large amounts of methane – a greenhouse gas that traps ~80× more heat than CO₂ over 20 years. – but MooGood farms are pioneering innovations like adding seaweed to cow diets to cut methane emissions by over 80%.

Fewer cows raised for slaughter also means less land under the plow and pasture, giving nature a chance to rebound. With regenerative grazing and no pressure to overproduce, our partner farms see healthier soils, cleaner water, and increased biodiversity. In short, MooGood is proving that what’s good for cows and farmers is also good for the Earth.

  • Lower greenhouse gases
  • Producing just 1kg of beef uses over 15,000 liters of water on average
  • With no need for intensive feedlots, farms can adopt regenerative practices.
  • Less cattle farming means less deforestation and habitat loss.

Supporting farmers

MooGood is built to empower farmers who want to leave the traditional cattle industry behind. We partner with beef and dairy farmers, giving them a humane and profitable alternative to sending animals to slaughter. For many farmers, loading their cows onto a truck for the slaughterhouse is the hardest part of the job – it often brings pain and sorrow.

MooGood offers a way out: we replace the income from livestock sales with sponsorship funding, so farmers can earn equal or better income while keeping their cows alive and happy.

  • No more slaughter sales
  • Compassion over slaughter
  • Stable, fair income
  • More sustainable practise

Animal welfare

Compassion for animals is at the heart of MooGood’s mission. On MooGood-partnered farms, cows are no longer commodities – they’re living beings with their own names, personalities, and the right to live out their natural lives.

We ensure that cows remain on the farm with their herd family and are never sent to the abattoir. This stands in stark contrast to standard industry practices: in dairy farming, it’s routine to separate newborn calves from their mothers within just 24 hours, and in both dairy and beef, most cattle are slaughtered at a young age (beef cattle around 1–2 years, dairy cows around 5 years) well before their natural 20-year lifespan. MooGood is changing that sad reality. Here, calves stay by their mother’s side, and cows grow old in peace and comfort.

  • Once a cow is sponsored through MooGood, it will never be sold or sent to slaughter.
  • We do not separate calves from their mothers or their herd.
  • MooGood cows live a natural, stress-free life.
