Save a life by giving only $0.80 a day!
When you sponsor a cow, you’re not only saving a life – you’re helping save the planet. See how your support cuts emissions, protects forests, and builds a greener future for all.
Fewer cattle raised for beef means far less climate-heating gas.
Beef farming is a leading driver of deforestation, responsible for about 25% of global forest loss and land-use emissions..
Producing just one pound of beef can require around 1,800 gallons of water.
One of MooGood’s secret weapons against climate change is a humble red seaweed called Asparagopsis taxiformis. Just a few ounces of this seaweed in a cow’s daily feed has an astonishing effect: studies show it can reduce a cow’s methane emissions by 80% or more
The seaweed compounds basically neutralize the methane-producing microbes in the cow’s stomach. Our cows can digest their grass without the gassy side effects! And don’t worry – it’s completely natural and safe. In trials, cows fed with a bit of seaweed stayed perfectly healthy and grew just as well as other cows. They’re just as happy (if not happier, since their tummies might feel better), but they’re incredibly less gassy.
Every MooGood cow becomes a living demonstration that climate-friendly cattle are possible. By sponsoring a cow, you’re supporting this groundbreaking approach – effectively turning what used to be a major polluter into a gentle guardian of the atmosphere.
When cows stay on the farm for life instead of being sent to slaughter, we eliminate a whole chain of pollution and waste. No slaughter doesn’t just mean no cruelty – it means a lot less environmental harm. By not shipping cattle off to feedlots or slaughterhouses, MooGood avoids several emissions-heavy steps in the beef supply chain:
By transitioning a farm away from beef production, MooGood is tackling climate change at the source. Every cow we keep off the slaughter line and out of the beef market shrinks the industry’s carbon footprint. It’s not just about one cow’s emissions today – it’s about breaking the cycle. A farm that goes cruelty-free stops breeding more calves for slaughter, which means far fewer methane-belching cattle in the long run. The result? Lower greenhouse gases overall and a cooler planet.
Importantly, the cows that remain, get to live in a low-impact way. Instead of being crammed into feedlots, they roam on pasture. We even partner with scientists to give them a special seaweed supplement that nearly eliminates their methane emissions.
This means each sponsored cow produces only a fraction of the greenhouse gases she normally would, while she peacefully grazes. Meanwhile, the land that might have been used to grow cattle feed (or more cattle) can start to recover. Grass can grow taller, soils replenish, and local wildlife returns to healthier pastures. We’re essentially turning former beef farms into mini carbon sinks and safe havens for biodiversity.
We are currently open to waiting list, while we source more cows to save! We will notify you when we have more cows on board!

MooGood lets people sponsor individual cows so they can live out their full lives on the farm instead of being sent to slaughter. Once all cows on a farm are sponsored, we “offline” that farm, removing it from the meat industry permanently.
All sponsored cows stay on the farm they already live on. We don’t relocate them, we transition the farm itself into a kill-free operation, where cows live out their days peacefully.
Sponsorship for a cow is only $0.80 per day! this sponsorship gets the cow away from the path to slaughter, right to a better life.
Yes, but MooGood cows are fed a red seaweed supplement (Asparagopsis taxiformis) that reduces methane emissions by up to 80%, a proven, natural solution to the biggest environmental challenge in cattle farming.
Traditional farms replace every slaughtered cow with another, keeping emissions high. MooGood cows aren’t replaced, and their emissions are drastically lower thanks to better diets and no feedlot fattening or transport.
Offlining farms means less deforestation, water waste, and pollution. MooGood farms use regenerative practices, protect biodiversity, and eliminate the need for industrial meat production processes.
